This week The Shrinks dig into your mailbag questions and respond to your voicemails. BY and Motts recap their hockey weekend, preparing for playoffs, honoring your commitments, as well as making a bet on who will win the UNH vs BC game.
Dipping into the mailbag, The Shrinks give advice on how to deal with crazy parents after hearing a story BY calls “Cheesehead loses their mind during the toilet bowl.” As well as preaching commitment to your team that you signed up for. To close out the mailbag, we hear a story of a player lashing out on his own teammates and a father looking for advice on retaliation.
Listening to the voicemails, we hear from a familiar face; Harry from Hyde Park who asks about parents' commitment to provide for their kid. Another #girldad calls in to ask Motts for some advice on the advantages for development and social aspects of a girl playing with girls and boys. Bringing back the “no drag policy,” we hear when to stop forcing the kid to play or if you just have to get over a hump to teach commitment and perseverance.
Wrapping up this mailbag episode, The Shrinks share their thoughts on how to get discovered and when doing too much in the off season will burn out the athlete.
